Bonjour! As the Bell Bookshop’s newest recruit and France’s cultural ambassador to Henley, I am delighted to be part of the bookshop team and help customers with their quest for the next great read. I have always loved reading, whether it be historical fiction, whodunnits, philosophy, plays, poetry or the classic novels of world fiction.

My particular favourites include Memoires d’outre-tombe by Francois-Rene de Chateaubriand (the idol of the young French Romantic movement), Blood Wedding (Bodas de Sangre) by Federico Garcia Lorca and Jane Austen’s Persuasion. I also love anything by Henri Troyat, Fred Vargas (quirky French whodunnits) and Robert Seethaler.
