Description
This photo book explores the beauty and atmosphere of the English village through a focus on a group of four settlements that seem to fit with the idea of what an English village should be. They have managed to retain their character through the preservation of old buildings of quality and through the residents working as a community to preserve what is best in a changing world. As a result, they all been used, many times, in the filming of Midsomer Murders. Landscape photographer and publisher, Doug Kennedy, has compiled some of his most lovely images into a photographic essay, exploring this little area along the River Thame over the seasons, starting in the Spring and closing in deepest Winter. Doug’s images are very natural and unprocessed, imparting the natural beauty of his subjects.
